learn guitar

So I’ve been playing for a week now… I’m like obsessed. I play for hours every single day. I have that gross hard skin on my fingers now to prove it too…
I can’t believe how far I’ve come in just one week!! I know about ten chords and I can play a few songs now too. I suppose it helps that I play piano so I already have some musical knowledge.
It was SO hard at first but now I’m getting the hang of it and I can change chords pretty quickly…and there is no pregnant pauses between chord changes either now…
I’m so stoked!

So I’ve thought about doing this for so so so so (etc) long but it wasn’t untill I put it on my list that I decided I should really do something about it. This 43 things adventure I’m going on is so much fun!
I only signed up about three weeks ago, but since then I’ve started learning to knit, tidied my room, persevered with potty training three kids and today I bought a guitar!!!!

I have my first lesson next thursday….

Its a really cool purple colour… I am so excited about learning. I just hope that my expectations aren’t so high that I’ll get frustrated and give up. Deep down I have this notion that I’m going to be a professional after three weeks… I’m trying to convince myself otherwise though, lol.
