Silk Road

I’m very excited – in less than two weeks time, I will travel the legendary Silk Road.

With a few friends, we’ll be flying into Kashgar, travel along the Karakoram Highway, among some of the tallest peaks in the world. Afterwards, will travel the Southern Silk Road, through the Taklamakan Desert, the 2nd largest desert in the world, before making it back into Urumqi.

I can’t wait!!

Off again soon!

After a little bit of a hiatus from traveling, I’ll be off again soon!

This weekend, will be going to Harbin, China (right south of Siberia, Russia) with a group of friends to go see the ice carving festival and eat some good hot pot and Russian food!

At the end of this month, will probably make a trip out to Shanghai. While I’m there, planning to go to the water town of Suzhou.

In mid-Feb., will go down to Bangkok, Thailand for a weekend with my company. Afterwards, I will carry on my time in Thailand for a little bit longer and hopefully make it to an island somewhere.

Finally, looming in the horizon will be a 2 weeks long trip to Western China (Xinjiang), all the way to Kashgar and the up the Karakoram highway to Karakul Lake (and maybe even Pakistan?). If that doesn’t turn out, then a 3 day horsetrek in Songpan, China, and then travel along the Sichuan-Tibet highway.

Fingers crossed that everything will turn out!!! :)

It's never over

I’ve been lucky enough to have traveled and lived in quite a few places already…

North America (USA, Mexico)
South America (Brazil)
Caribbean
Europe (Western & depending on how you classify it, Turkey)
Asia (China, India, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia)

Traveling to me is more of a life-long must do – the world is so huge and there’s so much to experience. Cheers to future adventures!
