My mate Steve is getting tickets to see the Flaming Lips in Manchester in April, and I’ve counted myself in. This is exactly the type of gig I’d usually give a miss; expensive, need to travel, don’t know the band that well (though I do love Fight Test and I’ve just put it on to listen to right now).

Live music is foookin ace.
