I’ve gotten a lot better at giving hugs, now I’m just waiting for other people to get comfortable enough to initiate them too. I don’t think anyone is freaked out by me giving them anymore, but getting one without being the one to initiate them all the time would feel especially nice.

I’m more receptive now when people want to hug me, but I’m not being pro-active about this. Obviously, unless I start initiating the hugging more, I’m not going to get more in return. Bad me, bad, bad me. I’ve got to quit being so shy about giving them.
I decided tonight that I was going to give my friends goodbye hugs. One is used to them, the other is a new friend and I figured if she’s going to get used to me as a hugger, better to start now than later on when she’s gotten used to me not hugging. Simple plan, right?
Maybe, but it fell thru nonetheless. Time came to leave, I was in a hurry and no one was specifically available to give a quick hug to without making the whole thing feel contrived. Ah well.
