Take a photo every day

if your tired of the dog thing, but here’s big brother playing with new puppy.

This is Cato, my new puppy. He’s a rescued pit with the sweetest, most loving temperment. He has many nicknames, like: acorn, scarface, piglet, the prophet, baba ghanoush… I guess that’s what happens when you are in house with four silly women.

I know this photo isn’t very creative… if only you could’ve seen this kids playing in the alley! It was pouring and they were loving it. The woman with them is their nanny… she walks them every day, rain or shine. What fun.

This is the home I’m blessed to (rent) wish I owned. It’s in a great little historic district downtown. It’s lovely in the snow but superb in the spring!

This is a little snapshot of downtown the week before the super bowl. Don’t ask me my thoughts on all these strange suburban people coming downtown pretending this is their city for the weekend when the rest of the time they turn their heads and hearts. Well, since you asked, I would like to throw up on them.

I’m still not taking new photos. All because I need batteries and haven’t purchased them yet. oops! This photo is quite old but I love my friend Eva in black and white so I wanted her on here.

To my dismay, my camera is out of commission and will be untill I’m slightly less broke. But I have a few older pictures saved on my computer and I will re-live those photo opps.

This is Joe (from Soapbox Symphony) playing at a festival in Kentucky. I always linger on this picture because it captures the personality of Joe. He’s a very kind but by the book, serious, but patient fellow. His hands may have been raised in Africa but the solidity of his face in this picture matches the solidity of his character.

Now this is a goal I can be stoked about. I used to carry my camera everywhere because I was always seeing moments to keep. I took a break from photography and I’m ready to begin again. First step, buy new batteries.
