as a teacher, it gets even trickier
learning these days takes on some new meanings
as the information sneaks around you and your interest
is piqued, that is almost the best place
inviting it in, the willingness to invite it in has a lot to do with it
then putting it in your pockets
new things to learn these days and i am interested
stay interested
stay willing
stay with the possible
that is what i am going for

have everything be really nice
wait a while
then have a fight
the kind that makes you wonder what you are doing
see what comes around
get to it now
let it be known
and learn something from it

i first learned to like gauguin, cause he was free, then i learned i was not supposed to like him cause he was not such a nice man, then i learned to separate that from some of what he showed with his art

i did a crayon copy of this painting way before i recognized there was something about art that was for me,
that lavender foreground with a yellow hill behind it is/was a beautiful revolt

that you are willing to toss some stuff out the window
and say so
or say so after you tossed it
and then notice that what happens is worth paying attention to
