another day

moved there for 4th and 5th grade
all three kids in the swimming pool much of the day

i don’t know who the woman is
which is better that way because i don’t have to worry about
suggesting that she does look like a clown

went there in 1975 as the guest of this man, well, really his daughter who was living across the street with a slew of body guards while she went to Princeton. My brother asked her out on a date, and a little later we asked her if she could get us a job for the summer in her country. She said, just come with me and we’ll have a good time. One month in the Philippines with the Marcos family. Not really something one does very often! some crazy stories.

I have been letting in a thought that suggests that possibly i have romanticized my past somewhat, and i have just turned into this much more regular and normal person. And the person i used to be was way cooler.

told him how from my past doing things like this photograph that
well it hurts here and when i do this

looking at pictures like this, it really doesn’t seem that long ago, tried a dive today off a three meter and well, it just isn’t the same although there still was an element of flight and grace i felt i could still sneak away with

but a self portrait done in 1976
usually people who do some of their first self portraits do what i did, zero in on those eyes and they often look too
