Helping Family

A family member called me, she found another place to move to. The bank is forclosing on her house and her husband and two little girls have to move out by next month. I have been trying to find them a place to live, with no luck. Finally she found a place but she doesn’t have first and last months rent. She asked me if I could loan her the money. I know I’ll never see it and I’ll never bring it up again. Thats something I learned long time ago, if you can afford to do it, just do it. Loaning family money never works out. It causes resentments and hard feelings if you ever try to collect it. Looks like I’ll be helping her move this weekend as well. Thats what family is for.
