Sewing classes, ahoy!
I’m planning on taking every class and opportunity I can find to up my sewing skills. And though I’ll be learning on a machine from the seventies (in one of my previous entries I said I needed a newer machine; thought this through, and I’d rather keep the one I have than shell out hundreds on a fancy new one), it’ll still be experience. Also need to save some money for patterns and fabric.
Yesterday I attended a sewing class at Jo-Ann Fabrics and made a tote bag. It looks great, and it’s an easy project that uses many basic sewing skills. Huzzah!
It would also be nice if I could find a better sewing table…

Heading to Jo-Ann sometime this weekend to look at patterns and fabrics. Hopefully I’ll find something fun to work on. C:

I’ve done some smaller sewing projects before, but I want to take my skills to the next level and make my own Halloween costumes and clothing. I think that making my own clothes will solve a lot of problems that I seem to have with clothes fitting me. Not to mention the fact that I’ll have a certifiably uniqie wardrobe – hahaha!
-I’ll need a better sewing machine, preferrably something that isn’t twice my age.
-I’ll SERIOUSLY need to work on reading patterns.
-I’ll need to be better at saving money for fabric and patterns and what have you.
