A bit behind again.

Today at Agape there was an amazing singer and trumpet player. Their performance was breathtaking and definitely made it worth going :-)

My sister told me this precious exchange she had with my 6 year old niece (her niece also), while looking at a picture of a brown Thumper (you know, from Bambi). Puzzled, my sister asks:

“Is that Thumper?”

My Niece: “Nooooo. That is Thumper’s woman“

Mastercard can’t buy that!

Logging on to CNN tonight put a big smile on my face :-) Man, he makes me excited about this country, of which I am not even a citizen. Go Obama!

My friend Brad just told me that they think the puppy they are fostering will make it after all. She was not looking good there for a while, but he and his wife worked a double shift and got her through it. Yay!

I just got the nicest and first ever voicemail from Muriel on Skype. She is so high tech that she figured out Skype VM. I hear you lady, loud and clear! (my headset is in the other room, and I am not going to get it, which speaks loudly of my lazyness considering I live in a studio…)

A couple of weeks ago we got a table in our kitchen at work, and no one is allowed to eat at their desk anymore. While not eating at my desk is really throwing a cramp in my style (I eat a lot of small meals during the work day, and it is really hard for me to both work without snacking but also sitting still while eating), I must say I find myself having lunch with other people a lot more often now.

We had a nice discussion about sponge vs brush to clean dishes and sink washcloth versus sponge versus dish towels for wiping the counter. Americans are so weird with their whole using the sponge and dish towels for things other than their purpose. I freak out a little when people use the sponge for the counter top. And don’t even go there with the dish towel. Counter top is not equal to dishes!

I’m sooo tired. But I enjoyed listening to my favorite podcast on the bus. It’s hard not to laugh sometimes, and I wonder if people think I am a little loony for sitting with a silly little smile on my face the whole time…Yay for the Black Boy Scouts (It’s Danish and refers to the color of their uniforms. It’s not racial. It’s like the black sheep of boy scouts. Very funny stuff).

We had really good soup today at work, and a volunteer, who is leaving to go shoot a movie in Europe, joined us and brought marvelous cheese.

I forgot to write last night, and I really wanted to write about my hummus. I bought a little 3 cup food processor this week-end, and made hummus for the first time in my life. And not to brag, but I am going to anyway. It was goooood. I took it to work today, and MEB approved. She is the chef among us.

Today. I was a bitch at work. But my hummus was good. And that’s positive in my book. And I took the bus.
