do more photography

So worth it! I am dragging my camera along more often now on walks and even though I hardly do anything with the picture and most suck bigtime, I have refound joy in just taking pictures. In the past I disliked digital cameras, but now I love it as it doesn’t cost you a thing to shoot 100 pictures and throw them away again.

Anyhow, I’m going to keep this on my goal list for a while longer. But I can already say it is succeeding and fun :)

Past weekend I have done some photography again! I grabbed the bag, tripod and camera and scooted out to the dunes. Standing on top of the stairs over the dunes, I took a 360° picture (about 30 separate pictures) near the road and a 180° picture near the sea. They could have been better (I have to get back into the technical details to get the lighting, diafragma, etc better), but I had some fun with Photoshop too.

The best thing actually, was that I came to re-realize how much fun it always is. When you don’t go out on a real photo-trip (even if it’s only for 30 minutes), you tend to forget how much you like it. It felt amazing, so maybe getting that feeling back will spurt me into going out and shoot some pics more often…

One of the main problems I always had was to take all my equipment along. Yesterday I bought (in the school department of a shop) a trolley-backpack. It’s for kids going to school, but so what? The real trolleys for photography cost loads of money and this was okay of price. Taking the bag along to the coast to stuff my equipment in it and then: on the go! (Hopefully at least…)

So the main plan was to go a couple of times on a photoshoot (nature) in these two weeks of vacation. But it did not happen. I did give it one try, but ended up getting stuck with my bike in sand, which got my whole mood down. And after that, I just did not take the time to grab everything together and go out there to shoot some pics. Idiot loser that I am! But I should not be too disappointed, I just have to keep the goal in mind and try another time and try and try again. The goal still stands!
