Transcripts ordered. Forms, postage, etc. sent to my recomenders. First draft of statement written and sent to recomenders.
Yay!
Next I need to fill out the actual applications, start writing individual statements for specific schools, and make an appointment to get slides of my new work made.
Christmas at home with friends and family is a hard time to be productive, but my sister is applying to schools to, so maybe we can inspire one another, or at least procrastinate together…

Next: make a table organizing what each school requires as far as transcripts go.
Then: Order transcripts.
Also: Call schools with questions about portfolio.
And: Get my letter of rec materials ready to be sent as soon as I recieve the final forms.
And also: Complete rough draft of statement
I feel much more on top of things now.
Ive been using the fact that I am waiting on forms from schools so that I can assemble packets to send to my reccomenders to rationalize procrastinating about doing anything else. I need to write my statement (I hope to finnish it by this evening) and get slides for my portfolio.
Yesterday I called up one of my presumed recomenders, who hasn’t been responding to my emails (but said quite some time ago that she would recommend me). My phone was acting up (as usual) and I couldn’t hear anything, just my own voice echoing back at me, saying “Hello?”. I felt embarassed and did not call again. Today I am going to call from work, where I am sure the phone will function properly, even though I feel uncomfortable making personal calls here, where others can hear me.
This goal is really a bunch of obnoxious smaller goals; like order transcripts, write essay, get letters of rec, put together portfolio, and of course, decide where to apply – but if I list them all seperately the volume of tasks becomes intimidating.
