create more art

huh… I’m surprising myself. I’ve actually stuck with working through several art books and trying to self-teach shadow. I did several portraits, one of my husband that really looked like him! And the other of a friend of mine wasn’t that close, but the drawing ended up being a cutie. Working on a floral now, and using colored pencils… It’s taking more time than I thought it should and mixing charcoal with the colored pencils may not be proper. I’ll see!

Dug up some of my old experimental art projects (watercolor, pencil sketchings) today. I had dated each piece (some from 2001). Wow… I was at a good place to recognize how I could improve some, and was duly impressed with a few others that I had forgotten about. Worked on one sketch and like my results. I’ll keep everything out for a while to see if it brings me inspiration.
