Alright, as of about a month ago, I am down to one credit card! Of course, that one credit card is a Platinum card with an enormous balance, but if my calculations are accurate and I stick to my budget I should be debt-free by July 2009. One year. I think I can, I think I can…

Alright, this year I turn 35. It is about time I got my shit in order. So I started off the year by paying off two smaller retail store credit cards and cancelling them, and consolidating one other onto a lower interest rate card I have some available credit on. Within the next month I should be able to pay off my only two remaining smaller cards, leaving just the two bigguns… The platinum cards. Those are the scary ones, but I figure that if I apply everything I’ve been plugging into the smaller cards each month plus all the extra I can afford (which is far more than I have been doing), I should be able to pay off one by the end of the year, and the other by next year. My car is already paid off, so that will leave me completely debt free. And hooray for that!
I just paid off another credit card! It was a smaller one, but had a huge interest rate, and it is one less bill I will need to concern myself with each month. Good riddance Apple Credit!
Just got a bonus from work and made a $2,000 (yes, THREE zeros!) payment on my highest interest rate credit card. I still have a long way to go, but making that payment felt REALLY good!
