Though I haven’t been recording well the last few months, I have been doing my self-check regularly. So I am retiring this goal. Following the link oy vey provided (thanks!), my lifetime risk is 19.8%—higher than average. Among other factors, this is because my mother had breast cancer. They didn’t count the fact that my aunt also had breast cancer, and perhaps statistically that isn’t significant but it makes my monthly checks feel even more urgent.
Doing the checks, remember the area behind the nipple as well as the bra strap area of the breast—the tissue goes almost up to the shoulder on me. Don’t want to forget the less discussed, though higher risk areas.

One more month down.
Except lately my cycle appears to be shifting, so it has actually been much more frequent than a monthly check. Still, I would rather check more frequently than is necessary rather than less than monthly. As long as my cycle doesn’t stretch longer than 28ish days, I will still do my check on the last day of each period.

for this month. :)
Don’t forget the bra strap area, which is an area of high risk.
