We’ve worked on this a bit more but decided to table it and finish in the spring. This turned out to be so much bigger a job than I ever anticipated. And the main work is done. I’d really wanted to finish the trim before winter hit but just ran out of time and warmth…soooo in the spring, we will finish the trim, paint the front door, paint the porch floor, paint the contrasting edge at the top of each window, and paint the foundation blocks.
Despite the fact that it isn’t completely done, the house looks SO much better now than before I started.

The painting party was a great success! We got the remainder of the main color and some of the trim and accent colors done that day. Since then, have essentially finished the accent color, more of the trim, and started on the contrast trim at the top of the windows. Cannot wait to finish…

I am trying this as a challenge one more time, even though I haven’t met my own deadline twice. I need to keep the pressure on to get this finished! It is taking much longer and is harder than I ever would have anticipated…but I will keep at it until it is complete!

Yay! I am so thankful for the help I received from my sweetheart and some friends so we could put the primer on yesterday. Now, for the colors. I can’t wait for this to be all done!!

Bought electric scraper and have been using that the last few days. I’m making progress, and Thank Goodness for the help of friends! This still feels like a never-ending project but at least the new tool is speeding it up a little.
