get a cell phone

I’m generally happy with my phone and service so far, although I’ve discovered that living in the boonies makes my services sketchy (I can only get a signal on the second floor while in my house). On the road and at school it’s fine, so I’m pleased.

So many plans! So many phones! Too many choices! Whaaa!

Definitely decided to eschew the pre-paid plans, so now I’m shopping for the best (or rather, least crappy, since everyone seems to have a horror story about one service or another) service and deciding if I want a fancy schmancy phone or just the basics.

I’m going to be commuting about 90 miles round trip four days a week soon. I really want to have a phone available, just in case. I’m still deciding if I want to just get a pre-paid phone, or go all out and get a regular service. I’m leaning towards the latter, if I can find a good deal.
