Exactly six weeks until Christmas. Isn’t that neat. Although I’m probably somewhere around week two or three, I always feel compelled to start anew, because I never run... or haven’t, in a long time. Especially not for 45 minutes. I would so much love to be a runner… and it would be so great to do our Christmas run once again this year.



my bike 2 months ago

Haven’t run in ages, but I do the cycling part. My guy is impressed with me, that alone is worth it. Muscles? Haven’t seen any. So far!



getting friendly with my bike again 3 months ago

Oh well, I’m going to start anew. For the time being, on the bike – now that I don’t own a ticket for public transport anymore, I need to cycle everywhere, and did, in spite of rain and wind (T. was surprised I even did on Sunday). Good for my legs, and good for my eyes, too… the canal is beautiful.



2x20 5 months ago

I didn’t follow the plan, but am happy nonetheless with this visit to the gym: 31 minutes on crosstrainer, round of weights, then some running (8+10 minutes, or something?), and to and fro on bike. Next time: 45 minutes of very slooow jogging.



week n° 2, still 5 months ago

It seems that T. will have to postpone the marathon. There’s no time like the time we used to have when we went jogging on Saturday mornings – we last went in May!

I declared the upcoming Saturday a tabula rasa and apartment therapy day and I hope we can go for a run before starting on the apartment. Those 2×20 minutes I wrote about months ago are still on my to-do list, although I have been to the gym – just never ran. So warm there and I felt so heavy. Cycling – yes.



I think I may still be on week n° 2. 6 months ago

Ouch. I can’t run the New York marathon, OF COURSE, but I’d like to at least be able to run Riverside Park with him. 4 months remain.

The elliptical /crosstrainer for 25 minutes, as always, might wanna change that, then the circle of weights, and 15 minutes of jogging. Why only 15 minutes? Because I had no music (battery was empty) and got BORED. Nothing on t.v. either.

Next I have to do 2×20 minutes, and on the third day, 45 min of jogging – it’s pretty obvious that I won’t be able to do it, unless maybe I skip the crosstrainer and do the occasional slower interval.

The elliptical /crosstrainer for 25 minutes, the circle of weights, and 28 minutes of slow jogging (with slower intervals). Feel really good afterwards. (Instead of 30 minutes of slow jogging.) Only downpoint: it was much too hot in the gym, perhaps thanks to 25° degrees outside.
