wear my hard contact lenses every day (and a little longer each day) in January 2012

Damn it, I’ve had these lenses for what, two years? Soon they will self-destruct and I will have paid all that money in vain.

It’s not so much laziness, more FEAR, that prevents me from achieving this goal. I figure that if I wear those lenses while the stores are still hopen, I can make a mad dash to… yes, where to exactly? the optician?... if something goes wrong. In that faith, I’m going to attempt this again, this week. Tonight.

Day 1. I couldn’t even be bothered to wear both lenses at the same time, or, put differently, was too scared to. But it went surprisingly well. I even got them out again….snort. More of the same tomorrow.

It must feel like this when one has an allergy … wait, that’s probably worse. Trying to focus on sth. else.

I don’t enjoy this. If this doesn’t work out, I’ll be happy for the rest of my life with a pair of big, nerdy glasses!
