I think I can call it progress. Finally taking up my professor’s suggestion, I read an introduction to discourse this week and I’m less scared by it now!
The topic I’ve wanted to write about for the past five years, when I finally really looked at it again, still resonates with me so much that I’m going to try and develop a research question/exposé surrounding/addressing it, will present it to whoever’s still around and hope for the best attempt to be persuasive. (Doesn’t have to be on discourse, though. That might go over the top for the merely eighty pages I have to write….)
My room looks like it has exploded with all the papers and I’m going to try and make sense of the chaos this weekend, once I sign off here – and then also have a look at a possible appropriation of the term for my means.
