Granola is my friend 3 years ago

I’m still not back to my pre-vacation levels, but I am increasing my fiber intake.

There is a bag of granola in my workbag, so even if I don’t have time to eat before I leave for work (and since I like to sleep in, I almost never do) I’m starting my day on the right foot.

So now I’m a granola eating popcorn snacking babe – unlike my all rich food and almost no vegetables or whole grains eating vacation persona.

If only I liked whole grain pasta this would be a lot easier…



Two weeks of vacation 3 years ago

Can really screw up all your good intentions about healthy living. Don’t regret all the fabulous food and drink, but now it’s back to reality. I had been so good about getting enough fiber… at least 25 grams a day, often over 30 grams… on vacation I’m not sure I was even getting 10 a day.

So now it’s back to real life, and trying to live a long and healthy life. Back to eating the happily tasty and high fiber granola. Not enough to bring my daily intake up to 25 grams, but a healthy first step.
