save the environment

...in little ways everyday. There’s still a lot that I need to do, but I’m getting there. Let’s keep going for it!

Ok…reusable bags it is…the project has begun.

I’m pretty sure that plastic bags are the work of the devil…I wish that people would use them less…or for the love of all things good and holy…REUSE THEM!

I’ve heard that there’s a spot in the ocean where the currents cross and all you can see from above are the millions of floating plastic bags…maybe that’s not true…but it’s a scary thought, and quite possible if you ask me.

I’ve been wondering…what if people had an easy alternative to using plastic bags? Would they actually carry a small pouch that turned into a sturdy reusable bag with them if it was available? While in France I found that Monoprix (a grocery store) sold these really great little purple bags that come with a pouch so that you can roll them up and pop them into your bag…They have “Agissons pour demain, tous les jours.” written across the side…which roughly translated means, “Let us act for tomorrow, every day.” I use it all the time and it’s giving me ideas for my “great” thing.

I’ve had it since I was a kid really…I was going to save the environment!...or at, least make people care about what was happening to it. So how does one go about doing this? It’s all the little things really…all the little things that add up to doing great things. I guess a better title for this goal would be, “do something great for the environment”. It’s already begun, but I want to do something great!
