i found a professional association that will provide me with all the tools, education, legal, and liability help that i will need. they will also assist me with marketing, advertisements, and will connect me with other event planners to shadow as i am still a novice. once i have six or so events under my belt i will be able to leave the novice category and be connected to paying clients. my goal is to achieve this by the end of the summer and to be booked and busy working by the end of this year.
i’m so glad i came across this site, it really fills in all the blanks and is helping me feel my way through this process, step by step. for now, i’m going to focus on my consulting project, building a great business web page, and continue saying to myself: “what one thing can i do today to build my business?” i find that i am good at anything that i both put my mind to and want to do. i think my goals are realistic and achievable and can’t wait to take my honeymoon in a couple weeks, relax, then come home and get to work on my new home business. new year, new name, new business, new life!
