We just ended week 6 of training for the Myrtle Beach Marathon. Saturday had us doing a 12 mile run, the longest I have gone in some time. Completed this without any issues.
Missed a few days of running two weeks ago due to a cold and the missed runs did not seem to have any adverse affects. I thought it better to take the days off rather than try to run through the illness.
These first six weeks were the easy weeks. Now comes the higher mileage and the cold weather. Hopefully the snow will hold off.
And Turkey trot on Thursday. Always a great event.

I have been debating another marathon in my head for the past two weeks. All the little aches and pains say I should not. They say I should take it easy this winter and get things healed.
I just happened read an article about whether marathons are dangerous. It talked about people who die running them. It had a quote from Jim Fixx, author of “The Complete Book of Running” who died while running back in 1984. He said: “I don’t know if running adds years to your life, but it definitely adds life to your years.”
I signed up for the Mytle Beach Marathon, February 13, 2010.
Let’s get running.

I’d love to do this, so the question I need to answer is:
Do I have another marathon in me??
