find out what my blood type is

I had to go again to get my bloods drawn for work because they couldn’t get any blood last week. True to the pattern that seems to be emerging, they couldn’t get any this week either after 2 tries. I have another appointment next week to try again. If it is unsuccessful then I am seriously considering refusing to come again unless they send me to the main hospital, where I’m assuming the nurses take blood more often and would have more experience on patients with difficult veins.

Because I had a needle stick injury at work back in jan, I need to wait until I am cleared for HepB, HepC and HIV.

Due to the fact that I am hard to bleed (it took 1 hour, one staff nurse and a consultant physician to not get anything today) this is proving difficult. I can’t imagine how long it will take to find a vein to donate.

After my birthday in February I WILL give blood. I have to wait until this time because I had a tattoo around that time and one must wait a year after it for them to accept your donation.

Hopefully I will be able to find out my blood type this way, and help save a life too.

I am going to do this goal when I finally get to donate blood. At the start of the year I was going to donate and as a result get this goal completed however I was surprised with tattoo vouchers for my birthday in feb so this goal will have to wait for another year.

I can find out my blood type if I donate. I tried to donate a while back but I was told I need to wait a year after my tattoo. So I’ve got to wait around 7 months, and then I can find out and help someone out in the process who needs my blood!
