Learn to play the guitar

This procrastination of mine concerning learning the guitar has to stop! I love this instrument and feel I can express myself through it if I can just find the determination to stick with it. Is anyone interested in being a mentor of sorts or mabye just a learning buddy? Keep me motivated, swap some tips, etc.

So. I can play a G-chord! Lol. I know that’s really simple to play, but I am proud that I can do it. C major is kicking my butt!!!

So I asked for guitar for Christmas about 5 years ago and I got it, but never learned to play. So I’ve just kept it in my room as a decorative peice. Rediculous, huh? I am better than this. I am talented and determined to conquer this instrument. Everytime I tell myself I am going to learn I quit after a week or so because I get so busy or because it’s too hard. And everyone I talk to says “its not really that hard to learn, it just takes patience”. So summer time is here, and except for some traveling I have the free time I need to conquer this!!! I can do it right!? I am pretty good at tuning the guitar and playing a scale or two, but when it comes to chords, that’s when I give up! My darn fingers won’t curl and stay off the other strings!! Any useful tips or encouragement to keep on trucking would be lovely!!!!
