pay off credit cards

Golly, and it only took working 72 hours a week since the 3rd of January to do so. Sent in the last payment yesterday. Done.

One of my credit cards that I dont use, I dont even have the card anymore, offered a balance transfer with no transfer fee. I said, yes please.
The way these companies like to get people is to offer these transfers hoping that you will also make purchases as well. The company then has the right to place all payments on the lower rated principal (principle?, whatever).
This also applies to cash advances which are usually around 21-23% because the companies know they have you by the balls if you need an advance.
Anyway, I dont expect this is news to most. I am bored at work and wanted to kill some time.

at least compared to other stories Ive heard. I’ve always had good credit and still do, its just that the credit total just made its way over the 3K level which is slightly disturbing to me. The result is the card is shreaded and I set a goal to put at least $700 toward the total per month.
I know what month it is and 700 doesnt exactly get me there, but my goal is to pay off this card by the new year.

And I intend to get there without a balance transfer…
