Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Bopgenova is doing 35 things including…

create a comic book

Bopgenova has written 7 entries about this goal

playing the waiting game...

It’s at the printers and ready to go :)

In one week I will have my first comic book in my hands.

“Smart study: How to study less and get more”

I got the proofs! Looks really cool.

Waiting for the 100% recycled paper to come from over east and then they’ll start printing my book!

It should be done in 2 weeks time :)

So so so so close now!

I’m one step away from getting this goal complete.

I just need to sign off on the print job of 1000 copies and sign the proofs. Woooohooo!

last minute problemi!

last minute problems…just as I was a step away from getting my comic printed I realised the font is way too small for A5 format. Need to make some adjustments…and also reassess which printing company I want to go with.

I refuse to let my environmental values go out the window. 100% recycled paper is still my commitment.

Got the corrections from my editor. Sent them off to my designer.

This is it, am on the home stretch – off to the printers today to check out paper quality. wooohoo!

So so close!

Have come up with my title.
The artwork for the cover is complete.
I have an ISBN.

All I need is to hear back from my editor, make the necessary changes and then off to the environmental printing company!

Then comes the challenging bit, selling this comic!

But one step at a time… ;)

So close to the end...

I am so close to the finish….all i need to do is the following:

*Come up with a catchy title (Why is this so hard?)
*Write the acknowledgement and about the author/illustrator section
*Get artwork to my friend so he can design the cover
