One of my best friend’s first grader little sister was in the room when we were talking about guys one day and when I told her she should not date until she was much much older she chimed in with “About that… I had a boyfriend who was a second grader but I dumped him for my new boyfriend” to which my friend asks “Did he say he was our boyfriend or do you just like him?” We then have to explain to this seven year old that just liking someone does not make them your boyfriend…
Moral of the story: Even from a young age the opposite sex has us confused.
