live in Hawaii

I’m 20 years old and I’m from Arizona some friends and I recently decided that we want to move to Oahu. However I have never been to Hawaii let alone move that far away from home. I just got my certificate for medical assistant, I thought about furthering my education right after graduation but I want to travel. I’m young I don’t have anything holding me back. Although I don’t know what it’s like to move to Hawaii obviously. The weather i know I’ll love, im a very out door kinda girl I wanna learn to surf and i wanna hike and just see everything that I can. But I wanna know, would this be a good place to go? And I know it’s not cheap and it’s pretty expensive, I’m wondering is it totally worth it. I don’t plan on living there forever the least 6 months anyway the most unless I absolutely love it, I’m super nervous to make the move but hoping someone has some good advice and guidance…
