Participate in the JET Program

I went to an information session regarding JET programme today, and my fears that the program would be shut down have been mostly put to rest. However, it does look like the program is rapidly becoming more and more competitive as the economic recession drones on. I am considering doing my study abroad in Japan now, as I want any possible advantage I can get for my application. I’m still a couple years away from that, however, but I’m still excited about it.

Time is limited on this goal, as they only accept people with a BA who are under a certain age. Even meeting those requirements doesn’t guarantee acceptance, but I feel like I’d really be missing out if I’m unable to enter this program. Time’s ticking, but I am making progress!
