travel overseas

I’ve covered my walls with maps out of national geographic magazines. I’ve got the British Isles, Italy, Africa, Asia-Pacific, the U.S., and Mexico so far. The funny thing is I thought they’d be expensive and they cost less than two dollars for that many. I love how detailed they are and how they remind me of how big the world is.

I keep telling myself if I keep thinking about far away places I won’t be able to stop myself from traveling when I get the funds to do so. Maybe I can travel abroad to learn languages (another goal).

So many people never leave their continent of birth and I would like to leave home at least once. I’m learning the languages of other places & I’d like to put them to use. In all honest I want to see to it that I’m not being ignorant about the people of the world & how they live. Even if I have to live my life simply I want to live it fully in other ways like finding the time to travel.
