Took Itchy and Scratchy on the train today, Itchy was entranced with the whole business (rail transport obviously has more appeal to 2 year olds than middle aged commuters). A pretty relaxed outing the only really tricky moments being Scratchy’s attempts to attack the train psycopath++ with his plastic sword and Itchy’s decision to lie down at the foot of the station stairs on the return journey, a little bundle of rage and misery at being asked to leave the train and go home. Resisted the urge to a) shout scream and lay on the floor myself b) jump in front of the next oncoming with him in my arms. I eventually left him to it, he was soon scampering up the stairs although still moaning at max vol.
