Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

Create a beautiful uplifting morning routine

27 cheers

Brocair has written 10 entries about this goal

Go to work on an Egg.

Woke up to the scent of the North Sea on the breeze, drove 16 Hours to Rome. Caught a plane to Dubai, caught a plane to KL, fried eggs for breakfast “easyover” in the shadow of the twin towers.

Note to self reduce morning commute buy chicken hire chinese chef

Decided to resurrect this one

Starting tomorrow Morning. If it can be done anywhere it can be done in the sub continents finest hotel!

Perhaps it's time to give up on this goal

4 hours restlesss sleep a night late nights and early risings are perhaps good training for something, not sure what though?

Staying in hotels is definitely the solution

as is using up all the towels and making a huge mess in the bathroom in said hotel room

This is impossible

considering leaping from one of Brocair Towers upper floors and hence spending Sunday morning in coma in casualty, before waking refreshed for nice hospital lunch. Perhaps will throw dispensable distant relative out first just to check viability of idea

Return of the coffee machine

Those jolly nice chaps at Dualit returned my coffee machine today. Fab. See 43 thing item if it’s broke fix it or …...

In fact even better they sent me a brand new one free of charge even though I’m sure mine must’ve been well and truly out of warranty. Hurrah for British manufacturers (a rare breed in need of love and support). If any random 43T’ers are reading this Dualit make top toasters for people with more money than sense (you’re paying £n a slice where n is a big number until your n to the power of n th piece of crunchy stuff) but they last for N (where N is an even bigger number). N….yway nice fresh coffee and cracking slice of toast for that matter will hopefully be part of tomorrows morning routine.

Early to bed early to rise

I have a feeling getting to bed earlier and getting up earlier is at the heart of this, dull as that is. Will try it.

Copacabana Palace - Rio de Janeiro

I’ve decided that the only way to acomplish this is to live as a permanent guest in a luxury hotel, somewhere exotic with no action before midday. The commute could be stressful though.

Untitled

The ideal routine could actually be to dispense with the nasty business of am altogether and laze in bed until 12:01. Ojala!
