I have walked to work EVERY DAY for the past 3 weeks or so.
Except for today. But no worries.
My legs have new muscles!
:)
Have also taken to waking down the fire stairs. 13 floors.
It’s great!

I have walked to work today and yesterday, and plan to do so the rest of the week.
My yoga mat came on Monday :)
Yoga again this morning, and i have ordered a yoga mat. It’s a nice natural one that is made from rubber and jute.
Ok, so i have done more than NO exercise in the last 5 weeks, but i thought i’d just pick up where i left off, and give this another good go.
I did four rounds of Salute to the Sun this morning. I feel much better for it :)
Walked to work another day last week, and then walked into the city and back on the weekend.
Also spent the day on a friend’s boat, and swam, and jumped off a cliff… i’m counting that as one :)
I walked home from shopping yesterday, instead of catching a bus, and this morning, i got up early and walked to work!
I’d really like to walk to work more often, i’m going to try and get up earlier from now on.
Finally, i am joining the rest of you in actually doing something on this goal… ;)
Last night i walked from the city to my photography class, and this morning i walked into the city, and then walked around for an hour and a half taking photos.
It wasn’t vigorous walking the whole time, i had to stop and take photos, but i broke bit of a sweat between locations. So that’s good enough for me.
I think it’s a great idea to have ‘100 times’ to work to achieve, rather than just floundering around and not really getting anywhere. I have the goal exercise on my list, but it tends to get a bit stagnant. After all, it’s not really a quantifiable goal; i could essentially mark it off already, i have completed “exercise” many times.
So, what will i count as 1 “time” of exercise? I don’t think i’ll count ordinary everyday walks, like walking home, but if i get up in the morning and walk to work, i’ll include that. I’ll include bike rides over 20 minutes, long out-of-the-ordinary walks, snorkelling for a significant amount of time, things like that.
Thanks for the invite south_philly, here’s to 100!
(Now i am going to try and post this without losing it, so i don’t have to re-write it a second time! I hate that!)
