I think that I have finally achieved this goal. I am exercising regularly, eating healthy, and losing weight. I don’t crave junk foods anymore, and when I try them on my cheat day I don’t even enjoy it! I don’t like the taste of junk food anymore! I always have many different exercises I can do at home. I exercise in the morning usually and then sometimes do something fun, like rebounding, when I get home from school. I am healthier than I was before I started this goal and I have lost 17 pounds already! I want to lose 10 more and then just maintain.
Thanks to everyone in the group for keeping me motivated. I think I’ve been in this group for over a year and it really helped me. Thanks everyone and good luck with this goal :)

This is week 6 of my 12 week program. Last week I lost 2 pounds! But that’s only 3 pounds over 6 weeks. I think that things might improve now that I am counting calories. I can get by with 1550-1650 calories per day spread out over 5 small meals. It seems like when I reach about 1650 at night I just stop being hungry, even if I stay awake for 3-4 more hours. I’m not pigging out as much on my cheat days either. I just like to have a little candy or chocolate but I don’t feel the cravings to fill my stomach with junk anymore.
Over the last 6 weeks I completed 28/36 workouts, so I skipped or was unable to do 8. But I think exercising about 4-5 times per week is pretty good considering I was barely working out at all last year. I’ll have to work harder to keep up my workouts. I changed my routines a bit last week too and increased the intensity on my cardio. I want to do yoga but I just don’t know where to fit it in. I’ll try on the weekend.
Today I did my lower body workout and I have upper body and another lowerbody workout to do this week. I also have three cardio sessions and I’ll try to fit in a yoga session on the weekend. Good luck this week everyone :)

I didn’t lose any weight last week. Plus I was so tired on Friday and Saturday I missed 2 workouts. So far I have completed my Monday upper body workout, I have another upper body workout on Friday, lower body on Wednesday, and three cardio workouts in-between. I’m going to try reducing my meals some more. I eat 5 times a day and I think that they could be smaller. I should be counting fruit as carb servings instead of just extras that don’t count. When I eat every 2.5 hours I’m not really hungry so I don’t need that much.
Over the weekend I bought lots of fruit and veggies and I look forward to eating them. I didn’t buy any junk. One thing I have noticed is that because my meals are so small it takes me a long time to finish the food that I buy. So its really evident that I’m eating less food in a week than I used to :)
Good luck this week everyone!

Well this is week two of my program. Last week I completed my three weight-lifting and three cardio workouts. I enjoyed my cheat day on Sunday too. This week I have already done a lower-body and cardio workout. For the rest of the week I will have upper-body, cardio, lower-body, and cardio, then a rest day again. I’ve lost 2 pounds already and I have 18 to go! I’m getting used to exercising first thing in the morning and to eating healthy foods again. I’m not feeling hungry and I have more energy. But my sleep is weird. I think I sleep buy I don’t remember it, and I know that it takes me a long time to fall asleep and that I wake up before the alarm goes off and I’m half-awake then. I hope this gets better.

So I’m back after a REALLY long break. I think I gained back all the weight I lost last year so I’m starting over again. I exercised yesterday and today. There is no reason why I can’t get in my 6 workouts per week now that I have finished all of my classes. I bought healthy food over the weekend and I can do so more often. I even ordered these green bags that help keep your fruits and vegetables from going bad. That way I can buy and actually eat more fruit and vegetables.
So today I am officially at day 2 of the Body-For-Life program. I did upper body yesterday and cardio this morning. I want to do my workouts in the morning so I don’t have to worry about them for the rest of the day. I have a lower body, upper body, and two more cardio sessions for the rest of the week. Sunday will be my rest and cheat day :) Hi FairlyFearless, Firedragon, Dreamer and Snowleopard :)

Well I finished my classes so now its time to get back to exercising regularily (I wanted to do it before but I just got so bogged down and stressed with school I just stopped). I think I will start out exercising at home instead of at the crowded university gym. I will also resume my power walks and I will start jogging. I don’t think I’m in bad shape or anything (I may have put on some back fat) but I want to get started again. In three months I’ll be going home for a visit so I want to get back into habitual exercise before then. For my workouts at home I got a Firm DVD that includes an uppper body and lower body workout. I can use it to start off so that I don’t have to plan anything for a while. I previewed the DVD yesterday and I think that it will give me some great workouts.

I guess maybe it was the winter and being busy with school that made me stop working out. I still got my walks in when I went to school, but I just decided to stop. I think I still look good and didn’t gain a lot of weight or anything. I guess its more that I am disappointed with myself for not getting up and doing things. But I’m going to start up again because I have finished the difficult parts of the semester. I can’t wait till the snow starts to melt so that I can go on my power walks again :)

On Monday, January 8, 2007 I will start exercising regularily again. My back has started to hurt because I haven’t been working my core. I still look great but I have to get back into things again.

Hi! I disappeared for a while and you guessed it…I stopped working out and eating well. Gradschool is so hard, stressful, and time-consuming. I had a good start to the semester, but after a while I just put the exercise stuff to the side. I will be starting up again over the holidays. Next semester will not be as hard so maybe I will be able to keep up my routine for the whole semester. Gradschool and personal time just don’t seem to mix.
Aside from that, I received an entry gift from the Body-For-Life program. I got a waterbottle, proteine shaker, 2 meal replacement bars, a pin, a certificate, one of those rubber bracelets, and a journal worth over $30. I also got a letter saying I was entered in the Canadian and American contests and that they would be making a decision soon. That alone has motivated me to start up my routing again :)

I’m still working out but I have missed many workouts. I think I look the same and my legs actually look better. Power walking for an hour a week has had a great effect on my leg definition. Once I fix up my sleep schedule again then I will be much less tired. Next time I will weare ankle weights for my walk. My abs are looking pretty cool too.
I still have my exercise calendar on my wall, I’m monitoring my food intake and eating only good things. I’m going to start taking Xenedrine again because I have 3 bottles I bought before and never used. Have a great week team :)
EDIT: From what I have been finding online, it seems like a bad idea to walk with weights. My brother has been doing this for a while. I hate to tell him because he is really happy about his results.
