I’m exercising and trying to eat healthy. I bought a food steamer so its great for vegetables. So I don’t microwave my vegetables anymore and they taste great. I’m also grilling meat. I don’t have to add oils or salt to my food. Sometimes I slip though, usually when someone brings food to work or I buy my lunch. I also think that I get hungrier and want to snack more if I’m not exercising. I’m doing well and I think I’ve lost 9 pounds since August. I’m weighing myself every week and that is a must. I also kept track of my food with my handheld and I have to get back into that. Keeping a food jounal is so important, I don’t know why I stop.

I’ve had this goal for a while and now I think that its the norm for me to eat a lot of fruit and have a couple of servings of vegetables every day. I watch those fitness shows where a nutricianist will go into people’s homes and throw out all the unhealthy foods. I don’t think a nutricianist would find much to throw out in my home. I admit that sometimes I have purchased candy and hamburgers when I’m not at home, but its a once in a while thing. I bring my lunch to school everyday instead of buying fast food. I’m doing okay with this goal I think.
I’m exercising regularly, I have lost 17 pounds and plan to lose 10 more, I’m eating healthy, I don’t like junk food or candy anymore, I eat 4-5 meals per day and I feel good. I think that I am being much healthier than I was 6 months ago.
I’ve started exercising again, I am buying and eating only healthy foods, I have increased my water intake, I am taking my vitamins, I am trying to de-stress and do thing I enjoy. I need to make myself healthy and take charge of my life!
I have been so busy with other things that I haven’t really been working on this goal. I haven’t been exercising or eating much more than carbs. With the weather and lack of transportation I stocked up on food that wasn’t fresh and I haven’t been to the supermarket in over a month. Next week I can get back to this goal again.
Ever since last semester I don’t think I have been doing well with this goal. The weather got cold so I didn’t feel like walking to the grocery store for fresh fruit and veggies, so I ended up buying processed stuff. Also, the supermarket near my house is closing, so that’s a big inconvenience. I have not been exercising either because I hurt my back and was in pain for a couple of weeks. I don’t think I’m horrible with my eating and atleast I’m better than I was a few years ago. I’ll have to get back to working on this goal :)
I looked through my refridgerator and cupboards a few days ago. I was pleased to see that most of my things were really healthy! For snacks I had chocolate soy milk, or peanut butter with high fibre crackers, or grapes. I mostly drink water and haven’t had soft drinks in a long time. I had mandarin oranges, brown rice, soup, frozen veggies, cranberries, oatmeal, and egg whites. The only bad things I have in the house are instant noodles. But I have to say I am not perfect becaue when I am at school I sometimes buy bad things like chocolate and doughnuts. I’ll work on that :)
Right now I am completely free of any stimulants (caffeine, tea, fat burners). I will stick to with my vitamins for a while so that I can sleep better. I will keep up with my exercise so that I will have enough energy. I will go to sleep at 11:00 pm and wake at 7:00 am every day.
As a reward for completing and entering the Body for Life Challenge, I am going to give myself the BFL for palm. That way I can keep track of my eating, exercising, and measurements without using paper. I can take my palm to the gym instead of my clipboard. I will also have the option of printing out reports. This will make it even easier for me to stick with the program!
On my vacation I didn’t exercise (no space, too lazy), and I didn’t eat as well as I usually do (no choice over food, no space for my stuff, had to eat at the mall), and I didn’t take my vitamins every morning. Vacations or any change in my daily routines tend to screw up my health plans. I’m getting back on track now. I’m going to be one of those annoying health/fitness people!
