take an annual trip with my girlfriends

ok, so I went to Germany with two chicas I used to hang out with a couple years back. The trip itself was fine. I think however the number of people who went (3, including me) was a bad number. It seemed to me that I was always left out of conversations between the two of them. When I attempted to participate I was frequently interrupted and ignored while they continued their conversation.
Although it was irritating and frustrating, I resigned myself to just have a decent time and not worry about them. I was only able to talk to my boyfriend about 10 minutes a day which was a real drag. And I found myself wishing I was home snuggled with him rather than across the ocean with these two people I felt were like strangers to me now.
SO, as much as I would have liked to continue the tradition of having an annual trip with my girlfriends,

I think I’m over it, for now.

This absolutely must be done with girlfriends who you can tolerate more than just one day with.
Otherwise I just want to choke them to death!! Bad! Bad!

My friend Laurie and I bought our tickets to fly to Germany to visit our friend Kimmie in September.
The three of us have not been together since Kim left Japan in January 2005. (I cannot believe it has been that long!)
So it is going to be a fantastic reunion for us. yeehaw!

By the way – this is going to be our Year of Victory! Oh yeah!

I’m off to Newport RI tomorrow morning to see my friend Laurie for THREE DAYS!! We are going to some posh Boston hotel party for NYE. It is going to be us against them, since we know nobody. But it should be a crazy good time. We’re going shopping tomorrow for fancy dresses. yay!

Two of my chicas and I are already planning a trip to Germany for next fall. Yeehaw!

I went to Rhode Island to go househunting with my friend Laurie. We spent the whole entire weekend looking at condos, and stressing out, which was exhausting especially for Laurie. But even though it wasn’t the typical “relaxing” weekend I’m glad I got to go with her. Newport is beautiful! Hopefully I can visit again when we have time to just sightsee and relax.

This weekend was an escape…

I hung out with one old friend and one new one. We had so much fun.

I think every woman deserves to have an annual retreat weekend with her chicas.

I’m at the beach with one old friend (first grade!) and two new ones. We’re having a crazy, silly time. Last night was like a crazy slumber party- we made drinkie drinks, did facials and pedicures, gave girl advice, and read Tarot cards.

(Mine were pretty good, I think!)

I would love to go on a trip to a cool place at least once a year with my girlfriends. I think it’s a tradition worth starting and a great way to bond with friends I care about, yet don’t get to see very often. Last year for Thanksgiving weekend two of my best friends and I went to Kyoto. It was so much fun!! This year I’m going to visit my friend in England. I wish I had the time and money to go more often. But once a year is a good start.
