I would so love to be able to learn to surf during my holidays, but I have no idea how to start… I don’t know anyone with a “real board”, and I don’t want to buy one just to find out I lose interest after the first 10 minutes of fighting with the shoreline! Hmm! Well, I will start off by going to the beach and getting used to smashing waves head on rather than just lounging on the sand and only dipping in to cool off… I have some surfer friends I might run into during my hols and maybe I can work something out.
