I found this cute little cabinet today that looks almost too cute to paint in fun colours. I’ll see what I can do with it.

So I finally found a chair last night that looked good and sturdy. I took it home and realized there was mold on it. So sad. :(

Today is garbage day. As I was walking my dog this morning I saw this small wooden shelf that someone had put on their lawn to be thrown out. I thought, “I love getting furniture, especially shelves! I should take it!” Then I thought, “It’s kind of dirty (naturally) and it’s a little rough (naturally) but still looks to be in good shape. I could clean it and paint it.” Then I thought, “I probably will never get around to actually doing that.” And that was my final thought that made me not pick it up and save this pefectly good piece of furniture from living in an already full landfill. It was when I was on my way to work when I saw a wooden table out for the garbage. It was probably in worse shape than the self but probably still salvageable and I got thinking of fun ways to paint it if it weren’t for my laziness of actually getting around to doing the hard part of things (which is a whole other issue in itself). What a fun hobby that would be! So I’ve decided to make it a goal. I just, at the very least, want to find one piece of furniture (as long as it’s not too hard to carry home – the shelf I for sure could have) and paint it all fun. Then we’ll see from there.
