have a vegetable garden.

Ben has started to dig the soil over in the veggie garden and soon it will be ready for us to plant the veggies in! Some of our veggies have started to grow on the kitchen windowsill. jasmine is made up and can’t wait for them to become proper vegetables rather than little tiny plants. Ben just needs to lay the sleepers around the edges and it will be ready to mark out.

Jasmine and I have planted the tomato seeds in the big red pot they come with and have covered the pot with newspaper and put it on the kitchen windowsill for the seeds to start to germinate (is that the right word?)

Jasmine is really looking forward to eating the tomatoes and keeps looking to see of they are ready (we only planted them yesterday and she is only 4!)

Looks like we will be eating lots of dishes that contain tomato this summer!

I went to ASDA today and there before my eyes was a grow your own tomato kit for Jasmine. I snapped it up and got her a little watering can too. She is also growing some sunflower seeds. I know it’s not exactly a vegetable garden, but it’s a start!
