i’ll post this here so as not to have it emailed to 50 people, you know?

doing yoga for the last 5 days, my upper torso has started to release. where i found tensions inhibiting my upper shoulders, now i find tensions specifically in my throat and rear upper neck. i mean, the lower tensions are still there, but at least now i can feel the higher tensions. i can feel that my throat is constricted. all the time. which is new in a sense.

it’s about 10 days now working on just ch3, the spine. i feel a physical disconnect (like) at about my solar plexux, and again where the thoracic and cervical vertebrae meet. it’s like the energy is flowing out there, and not connecting up and down. i close my eyes and have no real sense of the ceiling, just the floor. this is so wierd!

sunday will start ch4, breathing.

exercises

so originally it was 20×5 situps, 3 isometric hip&leg lifts, bridge, groin and hamstring stretches, usually a spinal twist, and superslow neck rolls. sometimes 200 vacuums. core strength improved greatly, but neck tension did not improve. also, breathing control and flexibilty weakened.

changed from 100 to 40 situps, and did 500-200 vacuums instead. breathing improved as expected, and neck tension decreased but only slightly.

added a 100ct wall sit, 20ct x 3 plank and down dogs, and ~10 8ct standing spine rolls. also started doing vacuums in bridge, dog and boat postures. (i hate boat! – and i used to do that for a 200ct!)
