improve Daily Joys

Me working on Daily Joys has apparently inspired David to think more about improvements. Brainstorming can be loads of fun. :-)

There are some potential color and layout changes.

I also want there to be an optional note for people when inviting them.

• Connecting other users to your joys (should be done soon-ish)
• Think of a better tagline than “Share your happy memories, big and small”
• Put said tagline in a more prominent place (maybe)
• Put the invitation link in a better place
• Style changes to the My Favorites page
• Changing “My Favorites” to “Starred Joys” (or something like that)
• More as I think of them

Some of these are clearly easier than others, I just have to get to it, which may start happening after my midterm tomorrow.

We finally added e-mail invitations. It had been awhile since we had last pushed out improvements to Daily Joys, so it feels good.

We added Profile pictures! The next big addition should be invitations.

One of the big changes we wanted to have was to make each day more substantial than they were. Also, we changed it to a 2-column layout in preparation for photos!

Not sure when we’ll put photos in though. Depends on if we figure out some of the tricky stuff…
