remodel my bathroom

Husband decided today that we needed to refinance the house so we could consolidate our credit cards to our mortgage and save money over the next 30 years in the process. Once done, we are having a credit card cutting party!

So I mentioned “If the house is worth more than we thought, we should take the extra money and put it into a new bathroom.” He agreed.

So first step to new bathroom: Find the money to do it.

I actually dreamed last night that my bathroom was remodeled. I woke up to the same crappy room I had when I went to bed.

I can’t wait until we get our tax return.

While the plummer was over to fix a valve, he informed us that our shower is backwards. It seems you cannot have the showerhead on an outside wall. Not to mention that we put in the new subfloors wrong when we tried to remodel and the surround we bought is too big.

Husband says we can remodel when our tax return comes in, we are figuring 10 grand to gut and remodel the thing. It is the only shower in the house! UGH.
