It’s almost the end of the year. And I’ve barely set foot in the gym for months. I grabbed someone I know who goes to the same gym, and asked her if she wanted to catch a step class this evening. So now I can’t weasel out. Plus, this is the semester break, so I have more time.
My goal for this week: go today, and at least once more by Sunday. Small steps.

I had FOUR meetings at work this week. Meant that I’ve only gotten to the gym once. Am starting slow, I guess. I’ll go again early this evening. 5 p.m. Really. Swear to god.

...I swear. Just because my head injury means I can’t do all-out cardio doesn’t mean that I can’t exercise at all. Tomorrow. 1 hour. That’s all.

Yesterday, I made a schedule: September would be the get-off-my-ass month. I would go to the gym Monday, Wednesday & Friday. Then, yesterday afternoon, I got into a bike accident that has left me incredibly sore. I think that I’m going to give myself a week to recoup. Or, at least the weekend. I’ll check back in on this one on Monday.

I used to go to the gym regularly, like 4 times a week. I felt better, and looked better. I now pay almost $60 a month for a gym membership that I’ve used about 15 times all summer! Ack! I’m too poor to keep wasting money like this. So, my short-term goal is to go an average of at least three times a week over the next two months. If I can’t do that, then I need to get rid of the gym membership and stop wasting money.
