Accepted the estimated fee

$87 is the estimated fee to fix the lens. According to them, it will take about 5 days to complete the service. So I might have my camera back next week. (Sigh)

Nikon repair service

I called them. It would cost me $87 to fix the lens error message to go away. (GO AWAY LENS ERROR MESSAGE!!! Argghh!) I’ve searched the internet and most say that the lens is somewhat stuck. A professional needs to open the entire thing and fix it.

Alternative fix: Use compressed air to get rid of small particles between the lens. So…

Steps:
1. Buy compressed air

If it still doesn’t work…
2. Print Nikon repair service form and mail it out with camera.
3. Wait for my camera.
