Anyway, I recently released Selfcast
I’ve been working on a very similar concept to 43things except it’s a way to join people in a different way. Instead of supplying the ‘thing’ you want to do you describe the ‘person’ you want to find.
As an example ‘Rails developer’, ‘photographer with great equipment’, ‘etc’.
It’s still very much in the works, but i’ve been moving along nicely with it.
I’m looking for a like mind who is exceptional in Rails, believes in testing, organization, and has a mass of creativity if you might be that person.
I’ve been a Php Developer for over 4 years now and have been wanting to write a commercial, but affordable content management system using the Mojavi Framework (built on Php), but I stumbled upon Rails via the Mojavi Forum and I have since committed my time to learning Ruby and Rails and will be doing a lot of Rails development from now on while Php sits on the back burner.
