Quit Smoking

Yes, not everyone can do it, but that’s what did it for me. I quit when i got pregnant, it’s been two years and I’m officially a non-smoker.

Smoked a cigarette last night for the first time in 5 days and it was absolutely disgusting. I smoked it down to the end hoping to feel that deep satisfaction you get from a good drag. But it was just gross. yay!

ok so i failed miserably when i tried to quit cold turkey about 2 wks ago. I did it once for two years but cant do it this time. So i got the patch because i really can’t take anymore of this filthy habit. Anyway, it’s only day two but i have to say the cravings aren’t that bad- after five minutes its over. I recommend not reading the booklet that comes with the patch. It kept emphasizing how many people take several attempts to quit with the patch but each time you try it gets you closer to quitting for real. It almost made me want to quit quitting and try again later! But i didnt…

In the past six months my mother has known two people that died of lung cancer and she just found out that a co-workers father is dying of lung cancer. It scares the hell out me and maybe its a sign? Plus that commercial about the guy with a hole in his throat really freaked me out…its made me change my mind about smoking. Last time i quit cold turkey for 2 years. This time im thinking about the patch. We shall see…
