I’ve reached the eastern edge of the Marshes and can see the Weather Hills ahead. This makes 199 miles I have travelled. Actually, I’ve probably done a bit more than that, but I forgot to take my pedometer with me when I was house sitting.
On my walk today I could see all sorts of signs of spring and the weather was lovely and warm.

I’m about 4 miles away from making camp on Day 11. Progress has been slow but steady.

I haven’t written much about this goal lately, but I am still making progress. I also continue to be unhappy over how slow this progress is.
Anyway, I have entered the western edge of the Midgewater Marshes and am 1 mile away from camping for the night.

I seem to be doing better at this lately. My health has improved a bit which has enabled me to get out walking a bit more often. I’ve walked a little over 149 miles and am heading east. The ground is dropping slowly and it’s quiet and peaceful.

I finally made it to Bree and onward. I’m currently making my way north through Chetwood. I’ve travelled almost 143 miles.

Progress has continued to be slow on this, as ill health continues to plague me. However, I have made some progress and am just about to reach Bree. Finally.

I have been terrible with this. The holidays derailed me and I just haven’t quite gotten back on track. I have done a bit of walking over the last couple of months, but nothing too strenuous and nothing with the intention to exercise.
Anyway, I started over again today. I’m still on Day 7 (after 2 months!) and am currently at the former boundary of Cardolan.

I’ve walked 121 miles now. It is Day 7 and Tom Bombadil is leading us north through a gap.

I’m still pleased with the way this is going. I’ve stopped in a hollow atop a hill for lunch. There’s not long until I’ve finished Day 6.

I find myself in an interesting place. On one hand, I’ve done really well this week and went walking almost every day. On the other hand, I don’t appear to have made much progress on paper.
Still, I’m pleased with the way things are going. It’s been easier to get myself out walking and I continue to enjoy the sights. Flowers still abound and I’ve seen quite a few magpie families out foraging and teaching the fledglings about the world.
