Adopt a puppy

I really want to do this now after hearing about all the bullshit that’s been going on at Lied Animal Shelter. It’s so ridiculous how many animals had to be put down because they didn’t properly immunize them. I don’t know what’s worse … people not being responsible owners and dropping their pets off at the shelter because they’ve become and inconvenience, people who irresponsibly breed their animals creating the huge problem of shelter animals, or not properly taking care of the animals once they reach the shelter. If I could I would take every animal that has the unfortunate luck of finding themselves in a shelter and make them my own. I wish more people would experience the joy that an animal brings to their life and see that it doesn’t have to come from the breeder and that it doesn’t have to be a baby and it doesn’t have to be a purebred. Some of the best pets are not the ones you would expect and it’s because they’re not the ones that you’d expect that they get sentenced to a life in a cage with little to no interaction with people or other animals.. or worse yet, don’t get to live their lives at all.
